The model ESI-2544 probe card holder was originally designed for use as a replacement for the original cardholder with the ESI models 25, 44 and 80 laser trim systems with and repeat tables. The cardholder is also incorporated, on an OEM basis, with some of the newer ESI laser trim systems offered today. The cardholder has interchangeable probe card rails that will accommodate 4.5, 6.0 and 6.5 inch wide probe cards with 48, 70, 100 or 120 pin edge connectors.

Accuprobe cardholders have long been the preferred option for theta adjustable probe card holders for ESI laser trim systems. These plug-compatible cardholders allow reduced setup times, faster device changeover, and increased throughout. The newly released Accuprobe ESI-43xx series cardholder includes the position saver theta adjustment dial and a choice of one set of rails. The existing ESI interface board can be used in the new cardholder. Probe card board rails are compatible with the rails used in Accuprobe’s 2544 cardholder for series 25, 40 and 80 laser trim systems.

Each cardholder is supplied with a convenient, repeatable and fast way to setup theta adjustment for each card. The Position Saver™ allows a very fast card changeover cycle because individual card assemblies can be identified with a specific theta reference number. Each subsequent use of the card can then be setup quickly by inserting the card and simply dialing in the saved position number to achieve the proper theta alignment.
